2014 Corvette

Chevrolet is set to show the 2014 Corvette at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on 1-13-13. The redesigned car is getting a lot of well deserved attention. The 2014 Corvette was already expected to have a new body design, and leaked images on the internet allow us to get a preview.

It is still unknown what the exact specs will be but it expected much of the drive train and suspension will be much like the latest models. We do know that the 2014 C7 Corvette will be V8 powered. It is to have a 6.2 liters 450 horsepower engine, the first in a new series codenamed  LT1. Chevy reports the new Corvette will be able to do 0 to 60 in less than 4 seconds.

It is expected the 2014 Corvette will be lighter, and stiffer. The Corvette is already a light car, but with improved chassis and body elements the car is expected to shave off even more weight. The end product should be a car with improved power, and higher fuel efficiency.
