One option is the use of a belt carrying case that will protect your phone entirely. The downside to this option is that grains of sand or other abrasive particles can enter the case and still cause damage to your handset. The other option is a screen protector.

This is a recommended method of preventing scratches. It is the best way to go. You can get one for about $15 and it will ensure your screen is safe from scratches entirely. Try and do this soon as scratches can be fatal for your productivity and peace of mind.

If you already have scratches on your screen then you could try toothpaste and a cotton swab. Use a small amount of toothpaste on your screen. Rub it all over gently. Then use a damp cotton swab to wipe off the toothpaste and you should see the results.
