Bonsai Home Garden

 Bonsai Home Garden
Bonsai trees have been cultivated by Japanese and Chinese for 100s of years. These aesthetically miniaturized trees look very beautiful. The bonsai trees can be kept in the outdoor garden as well. However, as they are small in size, using them you can create an indoor gardena as well. Growing a bonsai home garden is easy. However you need to consider several things before you create your own bonsai garden. Some of them are discussed below.

The most important thing to consider is the plants which you are going to use. For this you will have to consider the following:

*    climate
*    size and shape
*    species

Climate: Though the size and shape of the bonsai plants are different their other properties and requirements are the same. Therefore choose only those plants which would be able to live in the climate of your region. If you choose a wrong plant it will never grow.
The trees that naturally grow in your location or the ones which can easily adapt to your location are ideal. Moreover to get the best results you can use plants which are endemic to your location.

Do not just be lured to have exotic species which look beautiful. Growing them can be more difficult than growing endemic species. Growing exotic species will require some experience and therefore you can opt for them only when you have got well versed with bonsai home garden techniques.

Size and shape: The size of the trees also matter. Some of the bonsai plants will grow very small in size while some others will grow considerably. As there are trees and shrubs of all sizes in gardens it is better to have some variety in your bonsai home garden also. Try to make your bonsai home garden complete by including trees of all sizes and shapes.

Species: As mentioned earlier it is wise to try the exotic species only when you get enough experience in bonsai. However you will also find beautiful species from your own locality as well. You can just grow any type of tree of plant in bonsai. You can even grow fruit trees and get fruits from these dwarf plants.

Well developed bonsai trees are available in bonsai specialty shops. Most of the nurseries also provide such bonsai plants. However if you do not find any bonsai shop or nursery which can provide you bonsai plants, even you can grow your own bonsai plants. Growing them is very simple and you can do that from seeds of cuttings as well. You can use just any container for planting the bonsai trees. Earthen, plastic or fiber pots are easily available.

Once your bonsai home garden develops it will need no less care than the outdoor garden. Therefore you will have to manage the following things very well:

*    Sunlight
*    water
*    nutrients

Before planting  bonsai plants you should learn about the requirements of those plants. Accordingly you will have to keep the plants in sunlight as per their need.  You will have to water them regularly as per their need. Also take care of their nutrition for which you will have to add appropriate amount of nutrients as well.
