California Tan Safety Issues
Safety Issues for Outdoor tanning
· Outdoor tanning requires that you protect your skin against the harsh sunlight and the harmful UV rays. California Tan has special Burn Protectors that will prevent your skin from getting burnt in the sunlight. If you put this on sometime after you have been in the sun, you will prevent your skin from burning while giving you the extra tan that you need.
· Before going for outdoor tanning you should clean your skin thoroughly. Remove all traces of make-up, creams or perfumes that might make your skin more vulnerable to the sunlight.
· Use SPF lotions, which will not only help moisturize your skin but protect you from the harmful effect of UV rays. Make sure that there is a thin layer of moisturizer on your skin, which will act as a shield against the sunlight.
· If you would like a deeper tan, you may want to go sunbathing more than once. Give yourself at least a day or two before you go for another session.
· The best time to sunbathe is sometime in the early morning before 9 or 10 as the sun is far less intense then. Also, do not expose yourself too much to the sun – a time of 25-30 minutes should be more than enough to give you a good tan.
Safety Issues for Indoors Tanning
· While quite a few of the safety tips that apply to outdoor tanning apply to indoor tanning as well, there are some special safety concerns you should be aware of.
· It is better to use lamps that have low UVB rays as they provide better tans.
· It is normally advised not to be in a tanning bed for more than 10-15 minutes.
· Even while tanning indoors make sure you have moisturized your skin with lotions that offer plenty of DHA – stands for dehydroxy acetone. This helps vitalize your skin and also enhances your base tan.
