While most long distance runners invest in a good pair of running shoes, casual runners and especially beginners do not see too many benefits in purchasing special running shoes. Though they know that it might be a good idea to pick up a good pair of running shoes most of them manage with the walking shoes or tennis shoes that they possess. However, it is very important that runners pick up running shoes that are comfortable for their feet not only because it makes running that much more pleasurable but also because of the long-term benefits that good running shoes can provide.
