Making Money With RVs

It may have all started out as an innocent past time – you were fond of the outdoors but hated camping out in the rough. You were fond of traveling but also wanted your comfort. Traveling by an RV offered you all that and more. Slowly you started to experience the tremendous power and freedom of being able to go wherever you wanted to and whenever you wanted. You came to the conclusion that this was the only home you were ever going to know. However, unless you are retired and have some savings to fall back on, you will need to keep earning some money while traveling. Here we will try and give you some hints on how you can make money even while traveling with your RV.

·    You could join a company as a sales representative. Most sales representatives need to be constantly traveling trying to get in touch with potential customers and explaining the benefits of the product or services to them. Choose a company that offers scope for your interests or abilities. You can then follow your dream of traveling to different places and still hold a steady, paying job.
·    You can start writing about your travel experiences on a popular blog or for travel websites. Many blogs or websites pay well for original content and your writing may actually prove popular. All you need to write online is an Internet connection and this can be found almost everywhere, even in RV parks. If your writing turns out to be popular, you may want to consider starting your own blog and making money through paid advertisements. If online writing is not your style, you can always write them up and send them to magazines and journals, particularly those in the travel industry. You can earn a handsome amount for your contribution if accepted.
·    If you are already an amateur photographer, take photographs of the various places you go to, the people you meet, any rare animal or bird that you see. Any unusual scene that captured your imagination. Sell your photos to travel magazines or even card companies. Sometimes, local tourist offices offer plenty for good photos of the local attractions.
·    You could consider purchasing essential items or luxury items at wholesale and then selling them to families and people camping in an RV park, at a substantial profit.
·    Another interesting but tougher job is to try out for an oil field guard. Most companies prefer that these guards have RVs so that they can set up camp right outside the gate and are available at any time of the day. It is the duty of these guards to check people in and out of the fields. All the guard needs to do is note the license number, number of people going in and for what purpose. It is not a dangerous job since very rarely does it involve inspecting the vehicle, a task usually left to the security companies.
·    You can also find RV parks that may allow you to stay for limited amounts of time in return for helping out with the maintenance and cleaning up operations of the RV park.
