Plan Ahead For Healthy Lunches
Plan Ahead For Healthy Lunches
The task of putting together a lunch which will be enjoyed by your child is quite a daunting task. Creating a culinary blend which your child will cherish can never be considered as a simple job.
But, don’t get disheartened just as yet and start providing cafeteria money to your kid as the task of providing a healthy, yet cherishable lunch to your child can still be accomplished.
Plan:
Firstly, you should ensure that your child has his/her own preferred gear such as lunch bags or lunch boxes. This is primarily required if you want your child to enjoy his/her gourmet experience. You can consider purchasing an ice pack for freezing your child’s juice boxes.
This will also allow refrigerating all the stuff which is included in your kid’s lunch so that it remains fresh.
Wrapping the containers for preventing them from sweating while they thaw is also a good idea. This helps in avoiding sogginess from your child’s lunch.
Try including a proper combination of healthy food along with your kid’s favorite snacks. This will increase the chances of your child eating everything which was provided in his/her lunch bag. He/she will also be looking forward to their next day’s lunch.
Celebrate:
Celebrating special days by including unique items in your kid’s lunch is also a good idea. For e.g. heart cupcakes can be included during Valentine’s Day.
Lunch menus should be planned around special occasions such as holidays, birthdays, New Year according to Chinese calendar, etc. This will also make your kid learn about certain occasions. Be creative while preparing such lunches so that your kid’s lunch will be envied and admired by everyone in his/her school.
The task of packing a school lunch for your child is often feared by dads and moms but it should never be like this. With a little bit of creative thinking and innovation, you can easily be able to think about and prepare a lunch which is healthy as well as exciting.
Think about including only those foods which are loved by your child and integrate this food with the food which according to you is essential for fulfilling your child’s dietary requirements.
For example you can think about adding a special flavor to certain vegetables for making your child to eat them. This will increase the chances of your kid enjoying his/her lunch and not going for cookies and unhealthy snacks instead.
Hence, balance should be essentially maintained in your child’s lunch.
