•    Keeping on practicing the sums which are giving you trouble. Practicing such sums time after time gives you confidence as well as makes it easier for you to allocate time for each specific type of problem.
•    Put as much time needed to solve the problem and also to understand the steps that should be followed while doing so. It is not a waste of time to indulge into solving some problem time after time for better results.
•    Do not leave any problem to be attempted for the last minute. Questions should be asked to the teacher if there is any confusion way before the tests are underway.
•    Even get the phone numbers of your classmates so that you can clarify any confusions or problems you have. Forming study groups is another good idea where you can get together with the students of your wave length and discuss on the problems and solutions.
•    It is very important that you practice the math problems that are taught in your class everyday rather than accumulating them for later. As more and more formula and steps are taught every next day the confusion can even get intense if not tackled the same day.
