Some of us may have an impression that a pet is useful only when it can guard our house and provide security to our family members while there are others who feel that a pet should be treated like a family member and not as a body guard. When anyone is looking for a pet, a dog seems to be the first consideration because only a dog can provide its master with the love and comfort of a companion. Not only dogs, even cats and horses are also deemed to be a perfect pet that show a feeling of love and compassion towards their master. While animals like dogs, cats and even horses are an excellent species as pets, what if you are looking for something different? Almost all domesticated animals have their negatives and their size is a big determinant in it. Looking at the space constraints modern day man is going through, a pet like a dog can sometimes seem to be a luxury. If you too are interested in having a pet that is small as well asĀ  easy to maintain and allows you to shower all your love upon him, how about a pet tree frog?
Yes, having a pet tree frog is not something that comes naturally to anyone but if you think carefully, and research on these cute little creatures, they might just seem to be the perfect companion you are looking for! A rage among pet amphibian lovers, tree frogs are not only great as pets, they are also low on care and require virtually nothing more than their food provided to them 2-3 times a day. Unlike normal frogs who stay on the ground and require their bodies to stay moisturized all the time, tree frogs spend a huge part of their live living on trees and enjoying its shade. Due to their structure and the membrane like structure of their skin, frogs require high moisture content on the surface of their skin otherwise they risk dehydration and even death. While tree frogs will also need their body to stay moist, a small dip in the water here and then is all that a tree frog requires in order to stay in a healthy shape. As most of the time of a tree frog is spent on a tree, it stays down on the ground when the mating season arrives. After the mating season, the tree frog again resumes his life of living on trees.
