When choosing a wok for outdoor grilling, you should make sure that the wok is somewhat deep. Because deep woks give maximum head to the food, such woks work best for cooking evenly. If you are at it, you should go for woks made with carbon steel as this metal is strong and maintains heat for longer time. Although flat bottom woks are also used by many, these are generally preferred because of electric stoves and since you will most probably not use an electric stove with outdoor grilling, it is better that you go for a traditional deep-rounded wok. Easier to clean and fry, traditional Chinese woks are made for outdoor grilling.
Apart from stir frying, woks are also suitable as deep fryers as they give maximum heat to the oil. Apart from deep frying, woks can also be used for stir frying, steaming and to make soup in large quantities. While it is the wok you need, a wok pot generally consists of a bamboo turner, wok holder, and a potholder along with a tong and fork.
