However, when ever these CDs go bad, we never think of any other use than to throw it away. A great thing about old CDs is that all of its parts can be used creatively to create something new and interesting. Let’s look at some creative craft ideas to reuse Old CDs

Picture Holders:
You can make creative picture holders and photo frames by sticking your favorite pictures to a plain CD case and decorating the outside part of the frame in creative ways.

Flower Pot: Make a stack of your old CD drums and make your own innovative flower pot by making a few holes in them and decorating it in the way you like. It will give a unique look to your garden or backyard.

Bird Scaring Device:
Tie the CDs together with invisible thread and hang them from the stakes of plants and trees. This will help in scaring away the critters and birds from your lawn or garden. This happens because the sun’s rays get reflected from the surface of the disk and discourage the birds. Add more impact by making disc clank to each other.

However, if you are not creative and simply want to recycle your CDs, you can give them away to companies such as Second Life Disc, who collect CDs, DVDs and plastic cases and recycle and reuse them in building and automotive industries.
