Failure is the key to success; and an individual can learn a lot out of his experiences and failures. Individuals who succeed to learn from their failures are the people who reach great heights in their lives. From a child to an adult everybody faces failures at some point or the other. But a wise man is one who finds out the cause of his failure and converts it into his strengths.

Taking the failure as a dead end of the things is an unpractical approach. With this attitude it becomes hard for a person to direct his efforts and thoughts in a right direction. By fighting all your odds you can easily work on your self esteem and mark your presence in the society. Just as every end indicates a new beginning, every failure indicates an upcoming success.

Overcoming your negative thoughts is the method of crossing this obstacle. It you hesitate to take up risks due to fear of failure, it lowers your self esteem. Taking up criticisms whole heartedly is an ideal approach. When you learn from your failures you understand your negatives and loop holes and make an effort to turn them into your forte.

Apart from failure faced, fear of risk and rejection also diminish your level of self esteem. This fear of risk usually resides in your mind only when you take your failure negatively. Even constant criticisms by the people around you can also affect the quality of your work which in turn affects your performance. This may erode the chances of your success and deteriorate your confidence.

Though this situation is prevalent in children and teens but even the adults face it. A failure in class, a rejection or disapproval, a loss in business may weaken your conviction to make another effort in the same direction for the next trial.

Similarly rejection sows the seeds of hesitation and instability in the people after an unsuccessful attempt. If you have enough self esteem and high confidence you should not worry about what people think about you. With the fear of falling it becomes hard to rise again as you might panic in making an honest attempt.

Achieving a goal becomes easy if your target is clear enough and your efforts are focused. A failure demands a better effort, hard work, sincerity, intelligence, dedication, an eye for the future and a remarkable attempt. You must know and understand your value and your worth only then you can achieve the desired goal.

Loss of self esteem due to failure can occur anytime, causing depression, eating disorders, lack of confidence, unhappiness and insecurity. Thus, it becomes necessary for you to avoid such affects of an unsuccessful attempt. Or else you might also suffer from damaged physical and social health. So it is the time to dart the target with your earnest efforts and start working upon your failures in life to achieve self esteem and raise your confidence level.
